what is Zionism?

The definition of Zionism has evolved over time: There’s pre-1948 Zionism and post-1948 Zionism (not to be confused with post-Zionism, another idea altogether).
Post-1948 Zionism — arguably what most people consider the definition of Zionism today — can be simply defined as the belief that the State of Israel has a right to exist, that Jews have the right to self-determination. (This definition is up for debate, though.)
Pre-1948 Zionism is a little bit more complex. To sum, it was the general movement to establish a Jewish state. The modern state of Israel is therefore the culmination of Zionism, the Jewish effort to establish an autonomous state and end the diaspora of the Jewish people. Political Zionism was a product of many trends: the persecution of Jews in Europe and Arab lands; the rise of nationalism around the world; idealistic visions for building a new kind of society; and the conclusion that Jews would only be safe if they controlled their own destinies, to name a few.

Zionism is considered another rebel against God as they couldn't wait for it so they decided to take it by blood , and as per the ultra orthodox Jews that's why Israel is never at peace and despised by most of the world.

Since all words are symbols with an agreed-upon meaning, ALL words are ‘made up’ words: that’s how languages grow and adapt. As you pointed out, all Jews consider themselves part of the Holy Land and hope to return there: it’s a concept integral to their faith. The word ‘Zionism’ was the symbol they used to express the national aspirations of the Jewish people (who consider themselves more than a religion but less than a ‘race’)...

Political. Some Jewish groups believe Jews can be accepted in most countries of the world and do not need a homeland. They are well intentioned, idealistic and wrong. Religious. Some religious sects believe that the Jewish people must wait for the Messiah to lead them back to their Homeland in the Holy Land. They are a very small minority and are also wrong.

Zionism is what brought Jews to a point in time in which we can openly and proudly declare our identity, observe our traditions and grieve our losses.

Zionism is not the enemy of the Jewish people, those who stand in opposition to Zionism, those who lie, deceive, excuse terror… these people are the enemies of the Jewish people
