Prado 120 Series Diesel Engine: Mod Suggestions?

@Bilal Ahmed upgrading the suspension is definitely a step worth considering. I went through a similar process with my Prado, and it made a noticeable difference in how it handled rough terrain.

I installed an upgraded suspension kit, which included heavy duty shocks and springs. the first time I took it off road after the upgrade, I could feel the vehicle absorbing bumps much better.

It felt more stable on uneven surfaces, which made for a much more enjoyable drive. However, I did notice that it made the ride a bit stiffer on regular roads.

so, if you do decide to go for a stiffer setup, just keep that in mind for your day to day driving. it can be a trade off, but for off road adventures, it was totally worth it. Make sure to check out local places like Autodoc for kits that suit your specific needs, they generally have a good variety available.

@Zain Mehmood Thanks for the suggestion about the air intake system. I have heard it can really help with engine efficiency, but I am not sure which brands or types to look into.

Is there a specific brand you would recommend for the Prado 120? I want to make sure I get something that fits well and gives the best performance.

Also, is this a modification that I can do myself, or should I take it to a professional? I am a bit new to all this and would like to avoid any mistakes.

@Arsalan Javed suspension upgrade zaroori hai, lekin sahi type choose karna bhi utna hi important hai. Har kit apke driving style ke liye suitable nahi hogi, especially agar ap off road zyada plan kar rahe hain.

Heavy duty setup rough terrain ke liye better hota hai, lekin it might compromise comfort on regular roads. main ne apne Prado ke liye adjustable coilover kit install ki thi, jo kaafi effective rahi.

Ye mujhe height aur stiffness ko terrain ke hisaab se adjust karne ki flexibility deti hai. Ap Autodoc se check kar saktay hain jo setups apki zaruraton ke liye theek rahen gay.

Yaad rahe, stiffer suspension se city mein ride thori harsh ho sakti hai. Balance tay karna zaroori hai taake ye daily driving aur off road adventures dono ke liye kaam kare.
