Pakistan's volleyball team defeated Turkmenistan in the final of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Nations' Volleyball League, held at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad.
The home team secured a 3-1 victory with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, and 25-14. Demonstrating strong offensive and defensive strategies, Pakistan took early leads in the first two sets.
Turkmenistan made a comeback in the third set, winning 25-20, but Pakistan regained control in the fourth set, decisively winning 25-14 to clinch the match.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan claimed third place by defeating Sri Lanka 3-1, winning the first two sets 25-20 and 25-17. Sri Lanka won the third set 25-20, but Kyrgyzstan secured the fourth set 25-23.
Pakistan remained unbeaten throughout the competition, defeating every team they faced. They overcame Iran 3-1 on May 16, with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, and 25-20. Pakistan reached the final on May 15 after defeating Kyrgyzstan 3-0 in their fourth match.
