My city. Beautiful Sialkot. Pakistan's 12th largest city is Sialkot, it is part of the northeast. It is a beautiful city with plain fields, fresh air, and the fragrance of pure mud. It is a place of poets, writers, politicians, economists, athletes, skilled and intelligent people. It is a populated but rich city whose sister city is Bolingbrook, Illinois, United States.
Sialkot’s old name was “Sill Kot”. Sill was a Sikh governor who named the city “Sill Kot” which places “the place of Sill”. Wikipedia says, “Sialkot is believed to be the site of ancient Sagala, a city razed by Alexander the Great in 326 BCE, and then made capital of the Indo-Greek kingdom by Menander I in the 2nd century BCE – a time during which the city greatly prospered as a major centre for trade and Buddhist thought.”
Even with its rich history, Sialkot is getting rapidly more popular in the world because of its economics and sporting goods.

After entering the city, it looks like a modern and well-established city. As the richest city, it has supermalls, the biggest shopping centers, many restaurants, and branded shops. And when we go into a rural area, we feel a happiness of simplicity and peace of mind. We could admire fields of rice and wheat which are spread far away and in the middle of the fields, little villages look like fairy lands, and animals wander.
Climate and weather.
The climate of Sialkot is hot in summer and it stays like that for almost 7 months. But in hot weather, the rainy season has its own imaginary world. All around the world people mostly see the four seasons. But (Sialkot)Punjab is rich in this case as it has 5 seasons in a year. In Rainy season mangoes and traditional foods of rain(Pakwan) are cooked and people enjoy the rain.
