The caretaker Punjab government has decided to initiate another round of artificial rain this month to mitigate smog levels in Lahore.
This measure was employed for the first time in the country last month to combat hazardous air pollution in Lahore. Cloud-seeding planes, supported by the UAE government, flew over various areas of the city.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi discussed public welfare projects and measures to improve air quality with Governor Balighur Rehman.
The governor emphasized the need for extraordinary measures to tackle the extraordinary issue of smog in Lahore. Naqvi mentioned the successful experiment of inducing artificial rainfall and announced plans for a second round this month.
