Any tips for gym newbies? Starting from scratch!

have you thought about starting with a simple full body workout that includes basic movements like squats, push ups, and rows? This can help build a solid foundation while you learn the proper form without feeling overwhelmed. You could aim for 30 minutes of this routine, adding in some light cardio.

@Zara Siddiqui Thanks for the advice about focusing on form. I can see how connecting to the muscles can really help with progress. I have been practicing some basic exercises at home, but I am unsure about how to ensure my form is correct.

Should I follow any specific online videos or do you think it is better to get a trainer even just for a few sessions to guide me? I am kind of afraid of picking up bad habits from the start. Any recommendations for good resources would be much appreciated!

@Noor Fatima it is great that you are keeping your workouts fresh by mixing things up. This approach not only prevents boredom but also challenges your muscles in different ways, helping with overall strength and growth.

When I started lifting, I focused mainly on compound movements like bench press and squats too. what I found helpful was including some accessory exercises, like dumbbell rows or planks, to target specific muscle groups.

This added variety and helped balance my strength without overloading my main lifts. Also, if you can, consider checking out local fitness shops like Jacked Nutrition for supplements or protein shakes that can support your energy levels and recovery post workout.

They have knowledgeable staff who can offer good advice based on your fitness goals. Keeping nutrition in check along with the workouts can make a significant difference in how you feel and perform!

@Usman Tariq thanks for the input, it makes a lot of sense to keep things fresh. i like the idea of switching up the workouts to keep my muscles guessing.

i am currently trying to figure out what specific exercises to mix in. Do you have any favorites that work well together for a beginner?

I have been focusing mostly on basic weights and some cardio, but I want to expand a bit. Also, how often do you change your routine? I am a bit worried that I might confuse myself if I switch too much too soon. Would love to hear your thoughts!

@Anum Tariq Full body workout sab ke liye sahi nahi hota. kuch log ko ye shuru mein zyada heavy lag sakta hai. Mere khayal mein ap ek ya do exercises pe focus karein per session.

is tarah se ap form pe focus kar sakte hain aur injury se bacha sakte hain. Pehle squats aur push ups par kaam kar lein, aur jab comfortable feel ho to rows add kar lein.

Ye approach motivation high rakhti hai kyun kay ap apni progress dekh sakte hain bina overwhelm hue. Fitness apps ka use kiya hai apne?

Ye apki routine ko manage karne mein help kar sakti hain. Aur local jaise Velocity Fitness beginner classes offer karte hain jo guide kar sakti hain.
