Scheduled from August 30 to September 17, the 2023 Asia Cup will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. However, not all matches will be held in Pakistan, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declined to send their team to Pakistan due to security apprehensions.
Pakistan finds itself in Group A, joined by Nepal and India, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The tournament will witness four matches being played in Pakistan, with the remaining nine, including the final, hosted in Sri Lanka.
Distinguishing itself from previous editions, the 2023 Asia Cup will adopt the 50-over format, aimed at aiding teams in their preparation for the subsequent World Cup in India later in the same year.
