Usama Mir, the leg-spinner representing Multan Sultans, has etched his name in the history books of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a remarkable achievement in the current season.
In the match against Quetta Gladiators, Usama delivered a stellar performance by dismissing Mohammad Wasim Jr., solidifying his status as the leading wicket-taker among spin bowlers in a single edition of the tournament.
His outstanding display on the field resulted in figures of three wickets for 22 runs in four overs, bringing his total wicket count to 21 for this season.
This accomplishment surpasses the previous record set by Rashid Khan, who secured 20 wickets in the preceding season while playing for Lahore Qalandars.
It's worth noting that Hasan Ali holds the record for the highest tally of wickets taken by any bowler in a single PSL edition, with 25 wickets during the 2019 season.
