The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced an extension for filing income tax returns for the fiscal year 2024, responding to requests from various trade associations and Tax Bar Associations.
According to a notification issued by the FBR late on Monday, the new deadline is now set for October 14, 2024.
“In exercise of powers conferred under Sec-tion 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to announce that the deadline for filing Income Tax returns for the Tax Year 2024, originally due by September 30, 2024, has been extended to October 14, 2024, in light of requests from various trade bodies, Tax Bar Associations, and the general public,” stated the FBR in the notification.
