Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has received a significant boost for the Paris Olympics with six new advanced carbon-fibre javelins.
Nadeem expressed gratitude to Prime Minister
Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Sports Board, Punjab Sports, and the Athletics Federation for their support.
Nadeem recently returned from five weeks of training in South Africa and is now fine-tuning his skills at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.
He acknowledged the cooperation from various bodies and the efforts of his coach, Salman Butt.
Nadeem highlighted the benefits of his South Africa training, despite the challenges of adapting to different weather conditions.
Coach Salman Butt reported that Nadeem's current performance is at 65%, with expectations to reach 100% by mid-June.
Nadeem is also set to compete in a javelin event in Finland with top throwers, aligning with his training plan.
