Late on Wednesday, Islamabad and neighboring cities experienced a 3.2 magnitude earthquake, following a recent 5.8 magnitude quake in the federal capital. Tremors were felt in Rawalpindi, Attock, and Chakwal around 9:50 pm.
The quake's epicenter was Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, with a depth of 25 kilometers. Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir reported a quake in the Kishtwar region, according to India's National Center for Seismology.
Fortunately, no immediate casualties or damages were reported. Pakistan, straddling the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, frequently faces seismic activity, emphasizing the need for disaster preparedness and mitigation measures in the region.
